Took me a week to process this and I still can’t believe he’s gone. Since we moved to the burbs nearly nine years ago, we’ve sadly fell out of touch with many of our SJB friends, including Jody and the Moultons. But we’ve always cherished our 10 years in Logan Square because of the dear friends we made. Jody certainly topped the list. I never met him when he didn’t flash that shit-eating grin, deliver a warm greeting or a wise crack. When you accompanied Jody to Wait, Wait or a Neko Case concert, it was a given that he would know someone from work, or run into an old friend. And when you visited Jody at home to watch Drunk History on his back deck, you felt like you were home…especially after sleeping on said deck until 4am. Jody was truly, truly special. Full of love, and loved by SO many. We consider ourselves blessed and richer to have known him. He will live on in our memories. We hope to see all of you at the celebration of life in January. Even in death, he brings old friends together.
